Towards a better regulation of land based agricultural investment and Foreign Direct Investment in the Mekong region

This regional workshop will bring together all the MLRG partners to present and share their experiences and results, learn from each other, discuss how they can improve linkages, cooperation and synergies at the regional level. To enlarge the participation and the scope of the discussion, the workshop also offers a space for other stakeholders who are not direct partner of MRLG to bring their perspective from either national, regional or global levels.

In the perspective of the second phase of MRLG (2018-2022), the participants will also discuss a strategy and vision to frame future MRLG-supported Responsible Agricultural Investment activities at the regional level.

Workshop Objectives
1. Share lessons from the different initiatives and activities supported by MRLG and others in CMLV and at regional level
2. Draw key lessons from the workshop to improve policies and regulations towards more responsible agricultural investment
3. Discuss and develop a regional strategy to increase synergies and capacity building between the various partners for foundations of MRLG Second Phase Strategy on Responsible Agricultural Investment.
